“Her works delve into ancestry, family and the complicated feelings that arise from it through her paintings and photographs. They're beautiful and touching, and has a familiarity many immigrants and those from the Asian diaspora can feel.”

– Andie Lugtu

“Emily’s artwork is colourful, realistic and neatly organised. I like how she uses both painting and photography, and her colour choices make the artwork look clear and interesting.”

– Jack Smith
